Upcoming events

Backwell Village Show began as Backwell Flower Show in 1978 as the final event of the Backwell Festival; a much-loved fortnight of activities and outings for children during the summer holidays.  The Show is now run by a small team of volunteers who work throughout the year to plan and host the show each September. We are always grateful for logistics help, both the night before the show and after the show closes, as well as during the show day when we need help with refreshments, assisting judges and running our tombola stall and raffle. Please contact us if you can offer us any help this September. 
Keeping the spirit of the original Backwell Festival fortnight alive, we want to keep this as a day for the community to come together. We always aim to include organisations and local community groups in the show and will have a number of displays both in and outside the WI Hall on Show Day. There will also be a number of activities for children including toddler play and fun side-stall games.
Please give your support to this community-wide, inclusive event to ensure it can continue for another five decades!

Join us for an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments.  Tickets (free) will be available in November.
